Nathan Frampton, president of Fanimation, 10983 Bennett Pkwy., at far left, chats with Sen. Mike Delph (R- Carmel) Saturday afternoon at Fanimation, 10983 Bennett Pkwy. "I'm out here supporting a great company run by a great family," Delph said. "I'm very happy to have them in Senate District 29." The local business was hosting a National Ceiling Fan Day Awareness Party, complete with a deejay, free food by Edwards Dashboard Diner, a beer garden, root beer floats, caricaturist, kids' activities, classic car show, antique bicycles, and prize giveaways. The Fanimation Antique Fan Museum also was open. Frampton said one goal of the event was to educate people that fans are good for the environment and the household budget. Company employees are encouraging people to turn off their air conditioning on National Ceiling Fan Day, Sept. 18, and use fans to conserve "trillions of kilowatt hours of energy."
