Read MoreAP Biology students prepare slides with CeLa cells. These are special cells that originally came from a cancer that Henrietta Lacks had as portrayed in the book “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks.” As part of a grant from the Zionsville Education Foundation and the Zionsville PTO, the students read the book, the cells were ordered from the American Institute of Cancer Research and the students were able to prepare the slides and study the cells under a microscope.
