COUNTY HONORS VETERANS

CEREMONY: Local law enforcement officers bow their heads as Pastor Jason Grubbs delivers an opening prayer at the Veterans Day Service at the Boone County Courthouse on Thursday morning. The ceremony included the presentation of colors by the Pixie Playhouse Day Care Center children and an address from keynote speaker Mike Spidel. Spidel, the Boone County Veteran Service Officer, spoke about his experience going on an Honor Flight trip and encouraged other veterans to seize the opportunity to do the same.
