Elizabeth Pearl | The Lebanon Reporter
CRASH AFTERMATH: Two people were taken to Witham Health Services Thursday after a crash involving a Zionsville Police Car occurred near the Lebanon Business Park. Around 4:50 p.m. Lebanon resident Katherine Gunther, 45, was driving west on State Road 32. Gunther slowed to turn south on North CR 200 West and was then hit from behind by Zionsville Police Officer Aaron Shook, who had also been heading west in a police cruiser. Gunther's car careened into the traffic and was hit again in the rear by a green van that had been driving east, Boone County Sheriff's Office Cpl. Chris Burcham said. Gunther was taken to Witham with a minor head injury, and Shook was taken as well as a matter of protocol, Burcham said. The reason for the crash is not yet known, he said. All three cars were damaged.
The Boone County Sheriff's Office, Center Township Fire Department and Zionsville Police Department were all on the scene.
